These ferrite pot magnets feature a metric internal thread and can be screwed together with objects that have a fitting external thread. They have the same design but a lower adhesive force than ITN, and the following advantages:
- Lower cost than neodymium pot magnets with internal thread
- Suitable for temperatures of up to 200 °C
- Can be used outdoors
Please note: The full adhesive force is achieved when the ferromagnetic counterpart is smooth and of sufficient thickness and when the pot magnet makes direct and full flush contact. Pot magnets already lose much of their adhesive force at a distance of only half a millimetre to the ferromagnetic surface. This characteristic is more pronounced in pot magnets than in other ferrite and neodymium magnets.
When used outdoors, flash rust may develop on the steel pots, but this does not affect the function of the magnets.
