Sector: Mechanical engineering

In mechanical engineering, industrial magnets are used in many areas. They help, for example, with the transport of large ferromagnetic materials and simplify the assembly of modules. They also serve as locking devices or securing mechanisms for machine components, making sure that machine parts reliably hold together.
At the supermagnete.pt online shop, you will find the right super magnets for many areas of mechanical engineering. Take advantage of our wide selection of pot magnets, disc magnets and block magnets made of neodymium, ferrite magnets and rubberised magnet systems.

Popular magnets for mechanical engineering

Neodymium magnets

Neodymium magnets are suitable for use with machines in application areas with low temperatures since they permanently lose their magnetisation at temperatures above 80 °C. However, with neodymium magnets, you will benefit from high adhesive forces even when they are at their smallest. If you need strong neodymium magnets that are significantly more heat-resistant, we recommend our high-temperature magnets made of neodymium.
Neodymium magnets will rust when exposed to long-term moisture. However, if you want to use neodymium magnets in water, we do carry waterproof neodymium magnets ideal for such applications. For damp environments, in addition to the waterproof magnets, we also recommend our ferrite magnets. More information on this topic can be found on our FAQ page about outdoor use.

Pot magnets

Ferrite magnets

Ferrite magnets are perfect for use at high temperatures. This is a great advantage, especially for machines that get hot quickly. These raw magnets are temperature resistant from -40 °C to 250 °C. Ferrite magnets made of strontium ferrite (SrFe), like those you can find in our assortment, are also corrosion-resistant and can withstand extreme conditions.
